What are my chances of making it into IMSA?

I would really like to know my chances. I'm really freaking out about this. Here's basically what my application was: SAT Math: 720SAT Reading: 620(yeah, I know they're not great, but I guess its better than what I expected)Highest Math taken: Honors Algebra II / TrigonometryRecommendations: I think my teachers like me well enough to give me good ones. I got recommendations from my Honors Algebra II / Trig teacher, Honors Biology teacher, Honors English, my counselor, and my optional one from my AP Computer Science teacher. Grades: Not too great here... haven't gotten anything lower than a B-, but I got lotsa Bs last year... meh. Maybe 7/15 of my grades are Bs, and the rest As. Awards: I got a few.... in math and science, too...Groups/Activities: A bunch of Math Team stuff, and a few other things too. For out of school activities, I had my Taekwondo, tennis, and religious class, because they're the most important to me. Class Rank: Top 10/Top 15GPA: First Sem this year, it was 4.42. Last year, I had maybe a 3.4-3.5. 7th grade was higher, about 3.5-3.7. Essays: I guess they were good... but I know my last one wasn't great...I am a 9th Grade Applicant in the Aurora area. I live 10 minutes from IMSA.

Have you taken any AP?Being in GEM math doesn’t really mean you’re passed a regular 11th grade math is Algebra II. Keep it up though, it’ll probably be your best support for now. Also, you’re GPA weight isn’t what the colleges look for. They look at the Unweighted GPA which is usually below 4.0 unless you’ve gotten straight A’s.For the SAT, try redoing it and scoring higher.Do some community service hours.Recommendations arn’t as helpful as they used to be back in the day. You’re going to have to depend on individual work. Although recommendations are acceptable.Class ranks doesn’t impress Colleges although if you keep up, you should be the only of the few best students in the school so your chances are pretty much better than anyone else’s in the school class.Essays arn’t really important so don’t worry about that so much. You’re only in the 9th grade so you still have time to work on it for 10th and 11th grade. 12th is optional but most students start applying at 11th.For next year: Start taking AP, 1 or 2 is a good start. Take sciences + core related classes (PE is pointless) for electives.Depending on your best subject, let that guide you for the rest of highschool.Goodluck.
